Integrated Resilience Exercising and Simulation (IRES) suite

There are 3 main components to IRES, which can be operated separately or as a complementary package.

The Scenario Development Toolkit (SDT) allows a new scenario to be compiled in hours not days.  It provides a dynamic and uniquely responsive framework that can be used to model a wide range of emergency scenarios in both the response and recovery phases.  Key features include:

• Professional injects ie media coverage or supporting data sheets
• Automated paperdrops
• Performance measurements

The Decision Support Model (DSM) provides a credible, dynamic representation of the strategic environment that interactively responds to, and models the actions and decisions of the training audience.  The system models not only the immediate incident and its consequences but also the effects of strategic and tactical responder decisions, both in terms of the modelled effect of resources deployed or the effect of actions taken or not taken.

The Information Management Suite (IMS) provides a full management system with functional capability for:

OCTAVE

Businesses can manage their emergency management arrangements in one simple package.  In every organisation, the work of planning and delivering emergency arrangements can be time consuming and costly.  Making best use of management time, capitalising on lessons learned, and demonstrating to regulators the planning and depth of your training and exercising can be a headache.  The OCTAVE database allows you to co-ordinate and control the wide variety of records on individuals, scenarios and indeed the entire exercise planning regime.  You can plan attendance of key personnel at exercises, ensure consistency of opportunity and allocate specific training scenarios to specific individuals.  It allows you to monitor the entire exercise and training programme.  Graphs and reports can be used in presentations to demonstrate the implementation of training and exercise plans and the capability and competence of people, resources and procedures.  Finally, it is uniquely flexible in design to suit your specific requirements, so for example we have an OCTAVE LA, which is a streamlined version of the full programme tailored to Local Authority specific requirements as well as a host of client specific variants, which we design, train and offer to individual businesses.
