- Thirty eight year career as weapons specialist, including ordnance, bomb disarmament and disposal, nuclear, biological and chemical warfare
- Project Manager for the installation of OASIS, the Royal Navy's integrated IT management system
- Helicopter co-pilot during Falklands campaign; Chief Flying Instructor (gliding); pilots own aircraft (Auster).
Stewart Thompson - Emergency (Logistics and Pacific Rim)
- Specialist in scenario management and in Far East client liaison
- Formerly Royal Naval chief staff officer for war plans, nuclear accident training and exercises ashore, Naval Attaché in Tokyo and logistics staff officer for the landing force during the Falklands campaign
- After leaving the Royal Navy, co-opted from industry as an adviser to the Department of Trade and Industry on Japan and South Korea.
